POSITION TITLE:  Campaign Director: Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County

POSITION SUMMARY: The Campaign Director plans, organizes and directs the $6.2 million Capital Campaign for the Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County (UGM).  (S)he works closely with the President & CEO of UGM, development team and campaign leadership to successfully meet or exceed campaign goals. UGM is a united Christian organization and ministry dedicated to providing love, hope, respect, and a new beginning to the homeless. All Mission services aim toward offering a holistic program of care that leads to true, lasting healing.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

Helps develop and implement campaign plan in support of the UGM mission and priorities.  Creates fundraising strategies with development team and campaign counsel to meet annual and campaign target goals.
Drives the daily operations of the campaign. Serves as a primary point of contact for day-to-day campaign questions. Works directly with the President and CEO and campaign counsel receiving guidance and recommendations on all aspects of the campaign.
Responsible for management of donor and potential prospects portfolio.  Builds relationships with UGM volunteers and donors.  Makes personal gift solicitations of these prospects.  Records all contact with prospects in the UGM prospect management system. Works with campaign leadership and campaign volunteers to reach solicitation goals.
Facilitates the prospect management process, including prospect assignments and tracking sessions. Records and maintains thorough and updated database of all campaign information.
Staffs campaign steering committees and campaign volunteers.
Prepares campaign reports and evaluations. Monitors and reports campaign progress regularly to the President and CEO and others, as needed. Educates and orients development staff to the Campaign.
Oversees design and preparation of campaign materials, events and recognition programs.  Prepares materials for campaign meetings.
Meets with UGM leadership as needed and attends all sub-committee and appropriate board meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field. Candidate should have seven to ten years experience in major gift fundraising and have a demonstrated track record in designing and leading fundraising campaign efforts. CFRE preferred.
A proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans and knowledge of “best” practices in campaign management is also needed.
Experience in implementing capital campaigns.
Capacity to assume leadership roles, work independently, and to take initiative in start-up enterprises.
Understanding of the Major Gift Solicitation process and an ability to lead affective cultivation and solicitation of prospects.
Ability to embrace and affirm the mission of the Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Expertise in developing long-range fundraising and communication strategies.
Managerial skills to ensure the effective and efficient use of personnel and other resources.
People-skills and the ability to work in a team with administrative and professional staff, volunteers, and community leaders.
